Percy Foster
Consultant
Percy Foster is an environmentalist and waste management professional and has been involved in the waste sector for over twenty years. He originally trained as environmental scientist (B Sc Hons) and developed a passion for research while doing his Masters of Science.
Percy established Foster Environmental which provides consultancy, research, training and certification services. He has worked in Ireland, Europe and United Arab Emirates on various waste materials, waste tyres & contaminated soils.
As CEO for Cré- Composting and Anaerobic Digestion Association of Ireland from 2006 to 2023, Percy coordinated and managed the activities of the association, representing the composting and anaerobic digestion industry at Government and European level.
He is a former board member of the European Compost Network and CEO of a tyre industry association.
Since 2023, he manages a waste compliance scheme licensed by the Department of Environment, Climate and Communications.
Celia Cremin
Consultant
Celia Cremin earned her BSc. in Nutritional Science from University College Cork (UCC) in 2016. She then accepted a coveted role with a large multinational medical devices and health care company on their professional development programme, a three-year accelerated leadership programme. After six years with this company, Celia opted to enhance her skillset by pursuing an MSc. to align with her growing interest in contributing to a more sustainable society. In 2023, Celia received a first-class Honours MSc. in Co-operatives, Agri-food, and Sustainable Development also from UCC. She has a Green-Belt certification in project management, which underscores her proficiency in project and people leadership and engagement. Celia’s academic achievements, including receiving a full scholarship from Ornua for her MSc. program, reflect her dedication to sustainable development in the agri-food sector. Since 2023, she has been working on the EPA funded research project on optimising food waste collections from apartments.
Freya Bartels
Consultant
Freya Bartels studied Earth Science at Trinity College Dublin before working as a Biodiversity Officer in County Mayo. Freya has a diploma in Sustainable Development for Business from Trinity College Dublin and is active in the bioeconomy through a passion for agricultural reform.
Ruth Robertson
Consultant
She has more than 25 years’ active experience of implementing and operating high-quality, environmental and health and safety systems in the waste industry, pharmachemical sector and manufacturing and in providing consultancy and training to a range of service and manufacturing companies.
Ruth’s experience includes working at a senior management level for many years and covers environment, health and safety, quality, business systems and communications.
Ruth’s qualifications include a First Class Honours Degree in Environmental Health, a Masters in Environmental Engineering and a Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety. Ruth has lectured on health and safety at Dublin Institute of Technology and has been appointed an executive member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) Ireland East Committee. Ruth has a QQI (Quality and Qualifications Ireland) Level 6 certification for training delivery and evaluation.
